    First Geekbench score https://browser.primatelabs.com/v4/cpu/938313

CPU is far far behind Apple A10. Oh and BTW AnandTech these days makes false promises like AMD RX 480 review that was promised in July or the SD 820 deep-dive which never happened or the Apple A10 deep-dive that was promised in November.smh

This site is slowly becoming a mainstream tech site. They no longer do the detailed articles that they used to.
  • fanofanand - Thursday, November 3, 2016 - link

Stop having expectations. They will write what they want to write regardless of promises made and YOU WILL LIKE IT!
  • Eden-K121D - Thursday, November 3, 2016 - link

I criticise Because I care. AnandTech is becoming The Verge
  • ddriver - Thursday, November 3, 2016 - link

That's your problem. Put it somewhere it counts.

Short of AnandTech hiring 50 editors, I doubt they could ever cover as many products as in-depth as people want.
  • Ryan Smith - Thursday, November 3, 2016 - link

Indeed. And while we'll never have 50 editors, we are hiring in part so that we can cover more devices in-depth as you guys like.=)

Unfortunately the staff with the knowledge and skills to write such articles left.

The Mate Porsche edition! Yay! Now we can pay more for the same because they purchased a logo from an esteemed brand! This would go SO well with that Lamborghini laptop that I bought with prior year specs for 3x the cash!

You don't like it, don't buy it.

Funny, the partnership with Porsche bothered me because Porsche uses ICE.Never happened before but i guess times are changing and more and more people are starting to dislike gas powered vehicles, making this kind of partnership a risky bet.
  • xype - Thursday, November 3, 2016 - link

You’re pretty, er, optimistic if you think such "partnerships" have any other effect than the CEOs of Chinese companies feeling a tiny little bit more "legit" (when it comes to US/EU markets) after announcing them.

'Our Founder was always about design, aesthetics and function'

Very true! When Hitler asked Ferdinand Porsche to design the Tiger tank, Porsche insisted on equipping the tank with his brand new electrical drive, not just for the performance, but also because he wanted to DELIGHT the Fuhrer!

That kind of aspirational striving is what makes a Porsche a Porsche!

I hate to do this, but in this case this is in order: http://i2.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/original/000/6...

Porsche Design wasn't founded by the guy who designed the Beetle. It was in fact his son (who had the same name).

    The price tho
  • Meteor2 - Thursday, November 3, 2016 - link

Get a Three SIM! It's cheaper than EE and 'Feel at Home' is brilliant.

I bought my mum a Three SIM the other day. The shop was busy. When we went across the street to an EE shop to get a PAC, it was empty.

All that innovation and still you can't replace the battery, when it is time to get a fresh one, say 2-3 years down the line. :-/
  • Zingam - Sunday, November 6, 2016 - link

You replace the battery by buying a new phone, dummy!

Just so you know, you got the cameras the wrong way round - it's 12MP RGB and 20MB mono.

    "09:50AM EDT - 20MP RGB + 12MP B/W"
