"As a new feature in this release NVIDIA improved the performance and quality of the "motion vectors provided by the Motion-Estimation-Only mode of the video encoder, specifically in stereo VR use cases".
I guess this is as close as we'll get to confirmation that ASW uses the MVEC block to extrapolate the new frames. That would also explain why currently there is a limited selection of GPUs that support it: those GPUs would need to be able to dip framebuffer data in and out of the video encoding pipeline, rather than just sticking it in at the start and spitting out a complete frame (as is all you would need for actual video encoding).
This driver breaks Windows 10 Start Menu. Icons are grayed out and when you try to move them, the icon will disappear. Also, Windows 10 Mail App will crash once you check an email message. So, it's unusable. Many people in the Geforce Forums are having the same issue. As well as game-related issues.
It's safe to say that Nvidia delivered another turd here!

375.63 does indeed fix the start menu issue for me.silverblue - Monday, October 24, 2016 - link
If this is the same issue that shows blank context menus and tooltips, I'll be very grateful for a fix.Flunk - Sunday, October 23, 2016 - link

Holy crap! I was pulling my hair out over this problem. I would have never guessed that the video driver would cause that.Nightsd01 - Monday, October 31, 2016 - link
