Are they going to release new FX CPUs that people might want to buy? Otherwise at the prices they're selling for right now some of these CPUs will actually be cheaper to buy than a copy of Hitman.
Don't buy any GPUs until Polaris drops really. Good job AMD for picking a game that their hardware should excel on, I expect the 390s to murder their 970/980 counterparts in this.
If you actually need a new card right now, I can think of much worse choices.
i belief they r trying to clear the fx series cpus and r9 390 and some people will buy but majority of the people will not buy whn zen is around the corner , then again if they lower the price than who knows .
Very end of 2016, and probably only select models. But in the middle of the year we should see Polaris, and AM4 will drop soon and let people build a budget system that can later be upgraded to Zen. If you build anything AM3+ or FM2+ right now you better get a good deal because they are dead-end platforms.
Yes they r dead socket except for some refresh model releasing right now but some got new architecture like the athlon II x4 845 with 5% more ipc and 65 watt TDP with new 95 watt cool thermal cooler .
I will still never give AMD another chance after repeated terrible experiences with their drivers, about one every 2 years, since the ATI Radeon 9800 (crashes, graphical glitches, in-setup BANNER ADS, astonishingly bad UIs). Just today we ran into yet another problem with AMD video drivers: SQL Developer crashes when the mouse is moved over certain Java UI elements. After Googling for a while, he found this is a common problem and had downgrade his FireGL driver to an old Catalyst release.
nVidia drivers aren't perfect, but their driver teem appears to take at least some pride in their work.
Not going to argue your point. It is actually due to some silly driver bug that I thought my launch day HD7950 was dying and I replaced it with a GTX 970 that I bought from a friend for less than the current going rate (silly story there as well - he'd ordered 2 different models an MSI and an ASUS (?) and for some reason didn't want to return the second card). The really good price was my motivation for buying that specific card - not a desire to switch camps or upgrade performance. I figured I could always flip the card for a small profit later if I wanted to... then a month later "GTX 970-gate"/"3.5GB-gate" hit and GTX 970 prices fell through the floor. I decided to hold onto the card.
A a little while later I read in the Catalyst release notes that they'd addressed an issue with the display not waking up after it'd gone to sleep (my issue)... so there was nothing physically wrong with the card I'd replaced that I was otherwise still happy with. Ashamed with the whole mess I gifted the HD 7950 to a friend for his birthday.

Don't buy any AMD CPUs or GPUs until they have been updated to 14nm Zen and Polaris architectures respectively. This deal can go in the bin.

I just bout an HP 8320E and R9 390... wonder if they'll do something for me?ImSpartacus - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link
What possessed you to buy an fx CPU in 2016? Have you seen a doctor recently?SlowSpyder - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link
I very much like my FX's, had a spare 990FX board laying around and needed another machine, might as well put the motherboard to use.Flunk - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link
A retailer near me is fire-saling the 8320E for $100, I could see why you might buy it at that price.SlowSpyder - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link
I paid more than that. I am perfectly happy with the purchase, with what I got for the price paid.ImSpartacus - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link
Where's the love for fiji?Hopefully this just the beginning of bundle season and fiji will get its share.
Or maybe fiji about to be replaced by a new gpu so it doesn't need a bundle...

The HBM means that they're not making a big profit on each unit.rk_game_pc - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link

The existence of this bundle means that we'll see both products continue to be sold for at least a few more months.I wouldn't hold your breath for zen in 2016.

We're only in February. As with other promotions, wouldn't it just be in limited numbers?Alexvrb - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link

Well shoot I've been toying with the idea of buying a new Fury X GPU for 4k The Division gaming.Bundling Hitman with one would have made my mind up.
extide - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link
Better re-read the article, then. Hitman is NOT included with R9 Fury series cards, only the 390/390x and the CPU's.VoraciousGorak - Wednesday, February 17, 2016 - link
"would have"I think he read it alright.
