LAS VEGAS, NV — Next, Dell is introducing two new Ultrathin monitors in the S2419HM and S2719DM. The Ultrathin line of monitors, so far 23.8-inch and 27-inch options, feature a sleek design and is very thin from every angle with its profile of nearly 5.5mm at its thinnest. Both monitors use an IPS panel able to reproduce >99% sRGB color coverage and both feature the InfinityEdge, nearly borderless design, with the critical components housed within the monitor itself.
The exterior has a modern design with a continuous clean curvature on across the entire back. The smooth lines on the rear are only broken up by the stand and inputs which route directly through a slot in the stand. Inputs include dual HDMI connectors, AC Power, and an audio line-out port. The ultrathin profile of 5.5mm is at the top of the monitor widening to 29mm at the bottom for a very thin cross-section. The panels are able to tilt up to 5° forward and 21° back so users are able to find a comfortable viewing angle.
The monitors come in two resolutions, FHD (1920x1080) and QHD (2560x1440), with both supporting HDR-content playback capabilities through the aforementioned CinemaColor (though only the 27-inch is VESA certified DisplayHDR 400) with a peak brightness of 600 nits. These monitors also use Dell’s Comfortview technology for a flicker-free screen optimizing eye comfort and reducing blue light emissions.
The Dell S2419HM and S2719DM will be available starting January 30th, 2018 with a starting price of $299.99 and $499.99 respectively.
