The price is 799CNY(129$) and the 32GB version is is 999CNY, that was the big surprise.
They did go for lower clocks and no Gorilla but they added microSD, all in all great price for now. As far as i know only TCL Meme Da 3S gets to this price with 1080p ( excluding inventory dumping ) but that's at 5 inch.

I've got a Meme Da 3S.I think 5 inch is suitable for one hand handling. But the battery can only last for one day middle usage.Regret for buying it.

Decent phone but still worse than the Lenovo K3-T50. It has a better SoC(higher clocks) and also a better GPU. It already has support for FDD-LTE.

I imported it to Sweden from Aliexpress and paid 160 euros for it all, including DHL Express. You can get freight for free but you wait like 30-40 days instead and I wanted it within the workweek.

So a step up from Meizu but still not as good as Lenovo's attempt(worse specs and more expensive), and Lenovo's phone is by now 4 months old. (The T50 version, there's an older, crapper version, too).

Still, the Chinese OEMs are doing really well. People just don't understand how much they overpay for their phones. You shouldn't need to pay more than 180 euros for a really good phone. The performance of the SoC in the K3-T50 is above the S801. The only thing missing is Wifi AC.

Nevertheless, guys, don't be afraid to important Chinese phones if you can't buy it from your local retailers. Don't be dumb and overpay. Save tons of cash.

The K3 Note, TCL Meme da 3N, Jiayu S3 or Orgtec Wa are 145$ vs this one at 129$. I do agree that it's not worth saving that little for the lower clocks but they'll sell on marketing, 8 core at record low price.
Lenovo has the k3 and k3 Note at great prices but they've just changed the head of mobile, we'll see if they get more aggressive or less.Their sales are not great for both Lenovo and Moto so we'll see.

Hopefully Meizu releases a 5.0" m2 (or smaller!) as well.

A version shipping with Ubuntu would be clutch.
