I can't wait to purchase an IoT-connected twin wash machine with an OLED screen so that juvenile lulzers can hack my washing machine to spin the tubs backwards and display pornography on the OLED screen. The icing on the cake will be LG's refusal to upgrade the firmware, instead telling me to buy their latest model, on which all of the problems will surely have been corrected.
This is the problem with live blogs. Josh and I were sitting here thinking, "Um, what do we say about this stuff?" Josh has about 60 images that he couldn't get uploaded.
Hah! The exact same experience I had with my TV and blu-ray player a few years ago. Then after the massive failure of the LG Optimus 2X, I've put the company on my internal ban list, along with Creative labs.
I am actually interested in a twin wash machine. Currently we have to separate laundry for light/dark colored clothing to prevent staining on the light clothing. Owning two separate washing machine is silly while waiting for the machine to do two washes is inefficient.
I'd kind of like for my washer/driver machines to text me or send me an email when they are done. Also update my twitter feed "Andy Chow's laundry is now clean", lol. Then my "friends" could see how cool I really am.
Actually it does, it is a known problem with LG washers. Socks, and other small items somehow make it past the silicone seal that sits between the tub and the door. Then they clog up the drain. The clogging is how you find out there is a problem, and how you figure out that you are not insane.
Who says I have an LG washer eating socks? I think I have about a 15 year old Sears special, loading from the top and guzzling water. But I got it for basically nothing so I'm not complaining.
But it is. Definitely in terms of price, durability, power efficiency and from that also size and weight. Even if you only mean in terms of picture quality, I'll give you the clear win on color accuracy and viewing angles, but I'd challenge you about resolution, which is an important factor too.
At the time LCDs took off, there actually were plasmas with non-square pixels - can you even imagine that horror?!
I have been wanting a dumb (no smart features) heatpump-only (no resistive) dryer on 240VAC single phase 60hz with two through-wall pipe for cold air/moisture. LG is failing on this, still hoping for Samsung or anyone else.
I think they hardly make those anymore because it requires having a hole in the wall which means they can't really sell to people living in flats/apartments. I still have one of those (very old though, using electricity like crazy) and I'm thinking of getting a 2:1 instead.
The FAA? I doubt they care much. FCC might, but I'm sure that Qualcomm is complying with all FCC regulations regarding lasers. It all depends on how powerful the laser is, and I'm guessing the answer in this case is "not very".

Multitasking would take care of that. You don't actually have to sit and wait in front of the washer?andychow - Monday, January 5, 2015 - link

How many Facebook likes do I have to give my washing machine and LG in order to get my pants back?JarredWalton - Monday, January 5, 2015 - link
Pants? My problem isn't pants, but somewhere in my laundry is a horde of socks just waiting to be found. It eats them, I swear,misbfa1 - Monday, January 5, 2015 - link

Kind of like this, but imagine the sock getting actually into the guts of the washer. They socks can get stuck in the water pump also.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ZE1pwlg_No

Assuming that you one day get a good washer, you will kick yourself for not having done so earlier.I've had two Bosch washers and they are fantastic.

There needs to be a front facing camera so you take selfies with your completed laundry.velanapontinha - Monday, January 5, 2015 - link
I can't believe they placed LCD as beeing an improvement over Plasma...Visual - Thursday, January 22, 2015 - link

How does the FAA feel about LASER autofocus?JarredWalton - Monday, January 5, 2015 - link

I would be interested in an OLED TV, but 46" at most, not 55". What's the deal with that restriction?Visual - Thursday, January 22, 2015 - link
Because of the price? Or do you know something I don't? I always thought bigger is better.
