Dear HTC, please take those bezel's and shove them where the sun don't shine. The top bezel is understandable, but the side/bottom bezel's are not, copy lg's bezel's please.

I didn't realize LG also has duel front facing speakers.

Doesn't seem like speakers take up much space if you look at the top bezel, look at the internals of htc phones and compare them to samsung/lg phones on ifixit's website and you'll see htc is severely lacking in component/pcb design.

Not my favorite brand and there are lot of better phone in the market than this. /craig from http://www.topreport.org/phones/

Wonder if they will port Windows to this handset like they did the M8

Larger screen and smaller battery = fail. They also skipped one of the biggest advantages of plastic... wireless charging. The bezel's seem needlessly large, one of the worst in the market. Somewhere around 66.5%. N5 = 71%, S5 = 79%.

So basically a large phone (for it's screen size) with a poor battery.

Sorry, can't edit my post. S5=69.5%.

The Nubia X6 phablet also has a 13 MP front facing camera.

Yet another pointless handset for a niche market. Can't you count the total amount of dual-sim savvy, selfie obsessed people on just one hand?

the other sim is for when your out of the country, europe for example. You can still take calls with your number, data you would use a local prepaid data sim. You obviously dont travel out of the country much.

I don't care for selfies but a large amount of people are carrying 2 phones: work and personal. I've got a dual SIM Xperia exactly for that reason. Another reason would be to have a dedicated data only SIM, but this advantage depends of the country.

So despite all the rumors and their own teaser video, no updated M8? HTC must have an entire division devoted to losing sales. Either that or a giant warehouse full of crappy cameras that need to get used up.

We were expecting a M8 successor? Hasn't it only been out less than half a year?
  • Laxaa - Thursday, October 9, 2014 - link

There were rumors about an M8 Eye were the only difference would be a 13Mpix camera instead of a 4Mpix one. The rest of the device was supposedly unchanged.

I bet the front camera on this will be better than the rear one on the One M8.

I still prefer Huawei' Honor 6 is much superior in comparison to this device. http://goo.gl/4wojuW
