It should really come with any variant of Server 2012, not 2008. The bugs associated with GPT/UEFI backups will be nothing but headaches for "small businesses without full time IT staff". It's pathetic that Microsoft won't fix this for WS2008/WHS.
Interesting offering, but there are two things that make me leery: 1. RAID 5 - is RAID 5 all it can do? RAID 5 isn't really useful past 12TB due to the error-rates of modern hard disks. Perhaps the drives offered in this device have better error-rates, but I'd prefer to have RAID 6 and RAID 10 support. 2. 2 GbE NICs. I don't feel this is good enough in an enterprise environment. Preferably there would be models with options for 10GbE NICs, but at the very least I'd like to see four so you can do NIC teaming and/or segregate traffic on specific network segments (by using separate NICs). Yes, I saw it said "SMB", but if you have, say, more than 300 people connecting to this server (as a file server) performance will suffer. If using if to host iSCSI targets the best-practice is to have iSCSI and 'Production' networks be separate.
In addition to incorporating the above, creating additional, physically larger units (2U and 4U) to host more drives would be make it a truly great product, IMHO.
