Yeah I'm always a bit confused why Anandtech focuses so heavily on AVA and Cyberpower, especially for laptops. Sager is almost always cheaper (or same price when it is not cheaper) and they seem to be much nicer to the customers :P Add that with Xotic's own customer support and upgrade prices, you'd be crazy to buy any Clevo barebone from anyone else.
On a side note... really wish they would either finally get rid of the fingerprint reader built into the trackpad area, or move it off to the side. About my biggest complaint for Clevo computers xP
Mostly because those companies care to give us information and let us know what's happening with their products. Ultimately, Sager, AVADirect and several other companies ship the identical laptop with minor rebranding, so when something actually becomes available and we review it, that's when we start checking prices. In the past when I've looked, the difference between Sager and AVADirect -- once you give identical equipment including the OS -- is usually so small that the real differentiator is which company you trust more.
I see your point. I looked into it a bit further and apparently Sager doesn't really release press releases, and choses to just show updates on their own website/leave it to the companies that sell their laptops to advertise it. And given the fact that it seems like, at the time of this article, only AVADirect and Sager seem to be the big players that have announced it, it isn't too strange that you guys only mention AVADirect. Though I doubt it would hurt to expand on "we do know AVADirect will be among the first if not the first to have the new notebook available" by mentioning that at least Sager may be that other "first to have" as they already put up the same laptop on their site! =P

What do you expect when it has a 130W TDP processor inside.scottjames_12 - Tuesday, February 7, 2012 - link
Not to mention potentially 2x 100W TDP GTX 580M's..The power brick on this thing would be monstrous!

Does anyone have one of these or something comparable and able to speak to the usability of this monster?I don't know how enjoyable it would be playing games for long periods (MMOs) with a laptop that's nigh on 3" tall :/
Does anyone have any experience with this?
