Like the title says I have been coming to the site since it started probably one of the first readers on the site since most didn't have internet back then. I have enjoyed many hours of reading over the years Thank You for the site.
It is to bad the Giveaways are just for USA people but I guess them the brakes. lol
When you hold the next US only lottery, please state so in the headline to avoid frustrating your international readers.
I have already stopped buying several brands because they wasted my time by making me read the fine print before I knew i was not eligible for the competition/lottery.
Got my first ever PC "free" from Best Buy in 1999. Monorail. Had to sign up for internet service. As a newbie then, I thankfully found Anand's "PC guidance". Thanks man for all the years!

I can't see where is the problem? You can't "reliably" wrote a nonUS address on the top of the box or find a post office? They know everything about international shipping and will help you if you don't. Oh, and gifts like these memory kits are free from tax too, so no problem with the law either. (yep, it's my experience, not my thought)

Oh, deja vu! I think I've read this somewhere in the past... Wait, it was here! Few weeks or few months ago? Doesn't matter, I think that had to be enough time to find a PO and ask them about int. shipping.
All of this keeps me thinking that my clicks are worthless against the US ones. Outside from US? You are worth a 0, that's how I feel. Again. Conclusion: I won't spend my time in the future at this webpage anymore. I'm sad about this, because Anandtech is a great site, but they still can't believe themselves.
At this point there is no other way for me than say goodbye, and thanks for all the great articles that kept me informed about this rushing world of IT. Fortunately, there are other sources who really take care about their readers.
ps: To everybody from inside US: that was my 2c, so feel free to bash me if you must. Enjoy it.
13 years ago, I was into computers by then. We had a spiffy Gateway 133MHz computer with a total of 16MB of memory, and this is 4GB... geez.. time does fly.
How the years have flown by. Been here for most all of your 13 years. Congrats on all the wonderful things Anandtech has accomplished. If it wasn't for Anandtech I probably would never have left my nowhere factory job and moved into what I really love doing. Kudos! to you Anand.
I remember the days of BBS's (Bulletin Board System). Also paying extra in order to pair (2) modems with my internet provider to get all that speed. How did we ever have the patients to surf. Also playing Doom over the modems with no internet and using another phone line to talk on phone while playing.
This is my entry. This would be perfect. I have this exact ram only it turns out one of the sticks must have been defected since i got it. I started out very rarely blue screening then all of a sudden it was every reboot and now its corrupted my Win7. I logged on and all of a sudden it said I needed to activate because it expired and gave me the black background. I know the version is good though because I bought it through the student discount for $30 from microsoft myself. So i decided since i need to reinstall windows that I may as well get an SSD. So based on Anand's reviews I have a Vertex2 60gb fedex 1day coming hopefully tomorrow from newegg. I havent yet RMA'd the bad stick but if I won this I'd prolly get it before the return from gskill and I wanted to upgrade to 2gbx4 anyway. Maybe get me back up running faster or at least be a nice upgrade. I love this site and dailytech. I've been reading probably 5x a day for a good 7~ years.
Newegg listed this memory as 8-8-8-21. After purchase I noticed the package said 8-8-8-24. Just an FYI, both memory speeds work but there is zero benefit listed on membench86+. Also, you have to manually enter the speed into your BIOS on certain AMD 785g boards.
I'm your faithful reader for three years every day and your sentence that this contest is unfortunately only available to US residents sad me very much...;(((((((
I have ben a follower on and off for many of those thirteen years, and greatly appreciate the information athat you and your reviewers impart to all of us on a daily basis. I can't say how many times the words and ideas here influenced my building, buying, or behavior on electronic creations!

free memory is even a better deal! I am considering replacing my E7200 with a newer box (ie i7-875K or something like that), but I hate to throw out the 4 1GB DIMMs I have in that box.

Urgh, Anandtech's articles are so good... that one particular article about how RV770 came to life... I was in tears by the end of that one! And here I am trying to get more off of anandtech... but I can't help it! I love free things! (laughs wickedly).
I remember stumbling on the site in search of my K6(-2 I think, can't remember) build. Anand is roughly my age and I wanted to do the same.. just didn't have the resources, heh. Nor the dedication required to roll out a site like this.

I've been sitting on the fence about building myself a new system (my current one is about 7 years old, just don't ask...). If I win this memory, I guess I'll have to get off the fence and start building.

Ah the memories of Geocities websites. I remember first getting my start in web design by practicing my html on Geocities. I think everyone first started learning how to do web stuff on Geocities. My how the web has evolved. That is really cool for G.Skill to give you guys the hook up with the memory. Congrats on the 13 years and I know I'll be reading more great articles for the next 13 years or more!
Anandtech was a site I relied on heavily for help and to research building PC's when I got my career started in IT some 12 years ago. Without this site and forum I most likely would be in another field, earning a lot less. I am not a project manager and making a great living.
13 years Anand! I remember the awesome Pentium MMX OC'ing articles.. comparing various K6 processors vs the Intel equivalents.. Cyrix 6x86MX chips (which sound much cooler than the MII's).. Pentium MMX @ 291/83 mhz FTW :)

US only? Again? It's not fair :("...extending the contest rules outside of the US is a bit more than we're able to reliably handle today."
I can't see where is the problem? You can't "reliably" wrote a nonUS address on the top of the box or find a post office? They know everything about international shipping and will help you if you don't. Oh, and gifts like these memory kits are free from tax too, so no problem with the law either. (yep, it's my experience, not my thought)

Oh, deja vu! I think I've read this somewhere in the past... Wait, it was here! Few weeks or few months ago? Doesn't matter, I think that had to be enough time to find a PO and ask them about int. shipping.
All of this keeps me thinking that my clicks are worthless against the US ones. Outside from US? You are worth a 0, that's how I feel. Again. Conclusion: I won't spend my time in the future at this webpage anymore. I'm sad about this, because Anandtech is a great site, but they still can't believe themselves.
At this point there is no other way for me than say goodbye, and thanks for all the great articles that kept me informed about this rushing world of IT. Fortunately, there are other sources who really take care about their readers.
ps: To everybody from inside US: that was my 2c, so feel free to bash me if you must. Enjoy it.

This is my entry. This would be perfect. I have this exact ram only it turns out one of the sticks must have been defected since i got it. I started out very rarely blue screening then all of a sudden it was every reboot and now its corrupted my Win7. I logged on and all of a sudden it said I needed to activate because it expired and gave me the black background. I know the version is good though because I bought it through the student discount for $30 from microsoft myself. So i decided since i need to reinstall windows that I may as well get an SSD. So based on Anand's reviews I have a Vertex2 60gb fedex 1day coming hopefully tomorrow from newegg. I havent yet RMA'd the bad stick but if I won this I'd prolly get it before the return from gskill and I wanted to upgrade to 2gbx4 anyway. Maybe get me back up running faster or at least be a nice upgrade. I love this site and dailytech. I've been reading probably 5x a day for a good 7~ years.ramatheson - Monday, June 21, 2010 - link

Newegg listed this memory as 8-8-8-21.After purchase I noticed the package said 8-8-8-24.
Just an FYI, both memory speeds work but there is zero benefit listed on membench86+.
Also, you have to manually enter the speed into your BIOS on certain AMD 785g boards.
But its good memory! I'd also accept extra ;-)
