Some overclockers like to know as much data as possible...It gives a good indication of the load, temperature etc. When you're running a system under LN2 pulling 1000w+, it's always handy to know when you're on the limits or not.
Overlay.live allows live streamers to display this data in near real-time on their streams via an overlay etc. It's certainly not for everyone, but if you're an enthusiast who's interested in such things, it's not a bad feature to have provided you're not paying through the nose for it.
