I hope you guys get a review unit for this monitor. I've had bad experiences with AOC monitors in the past and I'd like to see if their new "high end" monitors are decent or not.

No pictures of the "bling" version yet, then?

Front looks really clean with the stand design and slim bezels. No height adjust is a shame for $350. The back looks pretty plain but I don't ever look at the back of my monitor so I wouldn't have an issue with it. I guess if you care about what the back looks like you can always get the rose gold Swarovski edition so they have their bases covered.

I had to read that twice - "as well as a rear embedded with"

    there is no adjustability?

I loved how they picked a frameless woman to showcase their frameless display.

    As if you wouldn`t smash.

yay... Swarovski crystals! I DEFINITELY MUST get that, spider on my wall will love it :p

Irony aside, I can understand various weird things finding their markets, this won't be one of them though.

This would be perfect for that gamer girlfriend... do those exist?!?

I can see a (slight) place for it on reception desks and so on, where the back of the monitor may be facing customers/clients.

Whether it's considered classy or gaudy tho to those customers is another question.

Absolutely. Would look good in high-end office and hotel lobbies. Not to mention flash open-plan offices.

For that price point, you only get two blings? That's highway robbery!

It definitely needs more pieces of flair.

Don't you all just use a crystal encrusted man bag like me?
  • nehway0912 - Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - link

D-sub in 2017. This is so wrong. lol

Agreed get rid of the VGA port.

Make the stand removable and also make it mountable.

    Sales go up!
  • DanNeely - Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - link

Any potential fashion statement from that stand will be overpowered by the laptopbox or stack of programming books that are stuffed under it to compensate for the lack of height adjustments.
  • geekman1024 - Wednesday, February 1, 2017 - link

That stand is not giving me an impression that it's very stable. I do move my monitor around quite frequently, so I don't like that feeling at all.

Even if it turns out to be rock solid stable, it still can't give me the ease of mind looking at it. I'll pass.

Bedazzle your jeans, phone, purse, vag, and now monitor....did I miss any others? Who is this marketed to?!
  • MattMe - Thursday, February 2, 2017 - link

    Bling: "No Bling", "Bling Bling"!

    I approve of this.
  • philehidiot - Thursday, February 2, 2017 - link

Actually almost wet myself at that for no good reason.

Just it being the total opposite to this site's stringent adherence to deep technical analysis, perhaps.

I have never heard of this company (AOC). Is this a subsidiary of ASUS or something? What else do they make?
  • Despoiler - Thursday, February 2, 2017 - link

Rose gold is the Nickleback of colors.
  • philehidiot - Thursday, February 2, 2017 - link

So they're going to cover the back with crystal but have made no effort to hide the ports? Eh? Have I missed something?
  • jwcalla - Friday, February 3, 2017 - link

    no VESA mount
  • vicbee - Friday, February 3, 2017 - link

How long before monitors come like the newest tv's : ultra thin panels with all hardware located in the base? It's a no brainer.
  • YourFairShare - Thursday, February 9, 2017 - link

Those crystals are sure pimpin' with that D-SUB...
  • rarson - Saturday, February 11, 2017 - link

60 Hz? Yuck. I don't care if it has zero bezel if it can't do at least 100 Hz. Even in everyday use the difference is very noticeable.
  • couchgi - Friday, June 15, 2018 - link

Why have VGA port on back? I can understand presence of VGA on entry level cheap monitors but these high resolution monitors its baffling to find that port.

I know this is really really old - but does anyone know if the aoc q2781ps was ever released? I don't remember ever seeing it. I have someone setting up a small office with a lot of glass where you can see someone's computer monitor at every angle. I figure if these were released, they would have had a limited run or be sitting in a dusty warehouse somewhere. I would love to buy a few new or used. I know it's a long shot, but if anyone could point me in the right direction - that would be greatly appreciated.
