  So.. what happens to these if nvidia takes over?
  Automotive is one area where nvidia solutions clearly overlap with this IP.

  Obviously they will combine nVidia's tech with ARM's.

  I'd assume they replace Mali with their own GPU. By owning ARM, they should get lowest cost at their end (no need to pay licenses) and release it earliest (they have early access to this tech).

  The only overlap is just the GPU, automotive or not. NVIDIA doesn't have a CPU solution at all.

  They *had* CPU solution, just like Samsung and Qualcomm

  NVIDIA has Denver, Denver2, and Carmel, but it's unclear if the IP can be cleanly transferred to ARM since it was originally developed by Stexar, another company NVIDIA purchased.
  
  Orin, on the other hand, is using a straight ARM A78 design, instead of their internally developed Carmel design.
