Nvidia are certainly giving a lot of attention to the gaming ecosystem and value-add features. I wonder how much that would influence buyers choosing between two similar cards from AMD and Nvidia.

to give amd some credits tho, most people that bought 580s are mining the crap out of it instead of playing games now...

I think because there is something missing on NVIDIA GPUs that makes AMD the right choice for mining.

Why do they advertise as "open beta" if its prepurchase only?
  • HomeworldFound - Saturday, August 26, 2017 - link

Because between August 29th to 31st there's an Open Beta.

Why nvidia do you require geforce experience to LOG into. Make is a option, not a requirement. I don't care about savings settings across computers like %90 of users. Whoever decided that was suppose to happen needs fired from Nvidia.

ZERO reason that it is a thing, all content is saved locally.

I bet you %100 that those that had Geforce Experience installed, as soon as it required logging in half or more stopped using it.

I'm using the older version of Experience, I'm using a GT 730 GDDR5 variant which is a kepler card.

I can use shadowplay with it fine.

Congrats? The newer versions offer so much more.

Well there's been a name change ... old Shadowplay got renamed to Instant Replay and it rwquires user to trigger it. New Shadowplay takes highlights automatically, no user intervention.

I really don't mind. People really get upset about little things.

It did really annoy me when Razer did it though because if you were offline you couldn't configure your mouse.
  • imaheadcase - Saturday, August 26, 2017 - link

its those little things that can make or break a product.

A product is not remembered for how good it is, but for how bad it is. The difference mediocre and quality is the details aka "small things"

I wish I could get ShadowPlay to even work.
  • Luckz - Sunday, August 27, 2017 - link

If you're on Windows 7, note it only works with desktop compositioning / Aero activated.
