The non-pro models are a little too low end, and while the pro model seems very interesting, 2GB of RAM is just not enough anymore -- it should have 3GB minimum. Other than the RAM issue though, the Pro sounds promising.

Totally agree. 2GB of RAM is too little in this day and age for a brand new tablet.

Hmm, the pro with LTE could make an interesting travelling machine. With a keyboard and some apps you could have something very closely resembling a laptop and it's good for video or even movies on the wall. Could be rather expensive though. Still, cheap and crappy Android tablets are easy to find. I like the Yoga tablets, they have a really decent stand and good speakers and this is the third generation, these things are nicely designed. Looking forward to try it!

Looks like a cheap way to throw some 18650 battery cells (NCR18650B or similar) into a tablet and hype up the mAh. I'll take a custom battery that actually conforms to the rest of my device, thanks.

The 2 cheaper models made me lol, those are worth 70 and 100$ and maybe they should have something more interesting than that.
The Yoga 3 Pro is more interesting but less interesting than last year's model. The screen res stagnated, 2GB of RAM is too little for a 500$ tab, the SoC is underpowered and likely the projector is again low res. Last year's offer was quite interesting, this is so much less. At 300$ it would be as appealing as last year's model was at 500$.
Wonder if they even sell these in their home market, the Xiaomi Mipad (ipad mini like with quad Tegra K1) just got a price cut to 999CMY(157$).

Sorry to double post but it's relevant to add that last year's model was 13 inch, a quite significant difference that doesn't favor this new model at all.
