Perversely, this means that Chrome on iOS works much better than on Android when it comes to things like double-tap auto-zooming, editing text fields and other stuff that still is horribly implemented (if not to say broken) in Android Chrome. Chrome on my iPhone is a joy to use compared to Chrome on my Nexus 7...
He's probably talking about the (kind of) loupe Chrome (on Android, not on iOS) shows you when tapping at a link that has other links around it. This is maddening, yes.
Is WKwebview implemented? This should be one of the most important features of iOS 8 but AFAIK there is no app that use it yet. Safari it's still way faster than the other browsers on iOS
I've been tracking this bug pretty closely, and while I certainly won't come to the defense of the ill-mannered WKWebView, I highly doubt the broken file:// handling would block the Chrome team from integrating it.
If they implement WKwebview doesn't that mean they have to drop support for iOS 7? I'm not sure they would want to do that as a lot of devices are still running iOS 7.
Why is the UI (like the tab button) still on the top of the screen on the iPhone? That's way less comfortable to reach for with my thumb on a 4.7" screen than the bottom of the screen.
This is not a right move by Google, enforcing Apple users to deal with Google' material design. Apple platforms are famous for their intuitive user experience and introducing Material Design will only mess up the user experience. http://www.logogulf.ae/blog/google-material-design...

I hate tap-to-zoom. When I click on something I want to click on it, not zoom in. Stupidest "feature" ever.MykeM - Tuesday, January 20, 2015 - link
It's double tap to zoom. Tap to zoom would be really stupid on a touch device.uhuznaa - Wednesday, January 21, 2015 - link

Sorry I meant generally about why many devs haven't implemented it, not Chrome in particular.SirMaster - Tuesday, January 20, 2015 - link
