The only thing I don't like about these NUC or NUC like computers is that they never pack in enough ports to make full use of the computing power in them. Honestly, I would like 6 to 8 USB3.0 ports and 4x 3.5mm audio jacks.
BRIX is actually nice in that it comes with two or three HDMI/DP ports, but most NUC only have one.
My NUC has one HDMI and one Thunderbolt port which can be used for DisplayOut, and that's an old one with a 3217u. The non-TB model had dual HDMI instead. What NUCs have one?
One of the nice things about these NUC's though is the fact that you can get a pretty low powered device. My favorite thing about mine is the silence but at the same time I use Steam in-home streaming to connect to my powerful machine and it works flawlessly to bring a console experience to my living room. It uses hardly any power. I don't see why you'd need so many ports at full speed though(use a hub). 4x3.5mm audio?? What are you using it for? They do have splitters for that too.
I think he did mean USB 3.0 (their website has been updated: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/list.aspx?s=47&am... There seem to be three models: standard, +2.5" support (H) and +GTX760 /w three display support (G)
