I have a Q6600 stock speeds cause it gets really hot(50-60 idle), 2gb ram ddr2 667mhz and a 8600 GT(DDR3)...Can`t wait either to get a job...same feels...
I think the slot itself is slightly technically slightly larger than the bracket, as there is a distance between two brackets in the hardware. The way it looks, it would probably not be possible to stack several cards of this width, but you might just fit a lot simpler cards (e.g. sound-card, controller) into the slot next to it. So I guess it's not meeting single-slot specification, but is likely to work as a single-slot in reality.
Correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't this beast draw up to 500W out of your PSU?
Given this, a recommendation for only 3x120 as cooling area sounds a little bit to less for me. What one could expect from this little bit of area are tempartures not much better then air cooled. If one wants this cool AND quiet, and this is more or less the aim for all custom liquid loops, i would recommend at least double area, and thus a really big enclousure or an external solution.
Don't forget the ADM version uses a 1x120mm for the 2 GPU's and the temps are pretty decent. I think a 3x120 for the whole car will be fine. Now, if you try to throw a hot CPU and another card on there... Yeah you'll need more! :)
