If you want to run a modern fab, you want to eliminate dirty humans as much as possible. Especially bonding (a key part in packaging, but also used in other manufacturing steps) really doesn’t like “dirty” environments.

I guess that really depends on how demand and supply are lining up. If you listen to the AI hypesters, demand will outstrip supply for quite some time. While I think some of the crazier projections are crazy, I'm tempted to believe that there really is going to be a huge demand for chips for the foreseeable future.
