As a tech site, that supposedly doesn't just echo vendor marketing, the least you could do is introduce 'Barcelo' as just another minor revision of Cezanne without any significant change on the CPU or iGPU side of the APU.
Not that Cezanne is a bad chip, it's just been around for a year and a much better known quantity under its old name.
I'll wait to see benchmarks, but due to the DDR5+newer iGPU the Intel version may be better. I was not expecting an AMD Zenbook and was excited to see this article, but after seeing it's still Vega graphics I'm disappointed.
There’s no need to be disappointed. A corner has been turned, there will be many RDNA2 APUs to choose from. There is a market for a budget combo of a decent CPU and a nice screen to work that puts minimal demands on the GPU.
I just ended a multi year wait for my main laptop aspirations, something like this would have really improved my quality of life during that period.
I'd be interested to hear people's thoughts on the touchpad / numberpad combo, For me, I don't think it'd work as I require indexing on the 5 and tactile feedback to operate the numberpad with efficiency but I'd be interested to hear any experience / opinions.
