for overall guarantee 3600 ram speed is recommended as infinity fabric runs at 1800 at ram 3600
3700 ram or higher means the Infinity fabric has to run even higher 1900 and not all Ryzen cpus can do it if Infinity fabric is not ran at half of the ram speed there is no point in using the higher speed ram as you get higher latency and slower overall speed
It's a press release. The source listed at the bottom is plainly stated as ADATA. Do you get mad when tech news reports on new iPhone or Xbox or whatever?
I thought you were leaving. Why are you back again? Do you lack the will to do as you said? Were you making empty threats in order to get attention? Grow a spine and get out of here like you said or at least admit you were just making a childish attempt at grandstanding in order to be noticed by a bunch of people who value your opinion as much as they value what one of their socks is thinking at any given moment.
Yeah, but this is about Ryzen Mobile 4000 series which only support DDR4 upto 3200 while they can support LPDDR4 to 4266 but that is soldered by the OEM and not upgradeable.
No I'm referring to a SODIMM you can buy to upgrade a laptop. The other people here commenting with their utterly vapid remarks can't address my point at all.
laptops don't norm let you set the ram speed (they won't go above JEDC spec normally which would be 2400 DDR4 even if you put in 3200 ram in as it will be XMP ram witch laptops won't use unless its a gaming laptop)
I'm a little confused by the content here. Why are these modules being compared to ddr3's 1.5v when ddr3's 1.2v has been the industry standard for over 4 years?
The only news here is adata's 32GB modules? Is this capacity at these specs really news worthy?
It's called a press release. This is a normal way to announce a new product. It's simply announcing what it is, that it is available at a certain price. This is not supposed to be a comparison or review by Anandtech.
It's a press release for this particular product. It's not a review of all available sodimms on the market. The source listed for the article is ADATA. This is no different than a new iPhone announcement.
There's a press release for the oneplus 8 on the front page too, it's normal to announce new products this way. Otherwise how likely are you to honestly check out each respective company's website to check for new products?
It may behoove Anandtech to start press releases with a statement disclosing it is simply a press release and not an original Anandtech authored content, review or comparison article. People seem to be very confused about this in the comments
Likely according to ADATA. That's probably their marketing line issued to media outlets. The source listed is ADATA. Though if not specifically from ADATA, one can easily come to conclusion that these modules are most beneficial to AMD at the 3200 speed as Intel mobile platforms don't support that speed.
Lil bit of detail-hiding from Adata here (only 1.2V... at JEDEC-specified loose CL of 22, guaranteed) but I've never read into other similar press releases so... Also, I wonder if we should expect silkscreened banks and empty SPD again (which is sadly the norm with OEM/JEDEC-spec modules from non-makers)... oh, and some lottery in the way (Micron isn't the only mfr with ICs allowing for 32G sticks, is it?). Not that it should affect operation at spec in any way, but there's a slim chance budget overclockers of the future (for all I know it's all about 4G/8G sticks nowadays, when it comes to OCing OEM/budget memory) may be unhappy... as if high-capacity modules weren't a hassle to tighten in general. The talk applies to cases when the firmware allows for such tinkering, of course :P And yes, there's always a boost from proper and stable RAM OCing. Or CPU OCing. Or both. "Even" on Intel platforms. Whether corporate clients should compromise their assurance of stable operation is another thing.

The lack of RGB lights on this memory is refreshing. It's almost like they don't expect people to be looking at their RAM all the time.(Yes, I know it's an SO-DIMM. That's the joke)
