Indeed. When the Original surface came out they had zero advanced features in the driver. (Intel has 19) The chip couldn't figure out how to use 5Ghz if 2.4 had the same SSID...
So they decide to separate the 2.4Ghz Support to another chip?
I knew 802.11ax cant be great, because some vendor decide to support this and not that.
Just in case anyone dont know, Draft 1.0 is incompatible to Draft 2.0. There are too many problem not yet addressed.
And i am surprised they support Uplink MU-MIMO, a features in the spec but none of the announced solution ( Qualcomm, Broadcom, Quantenna, ) support it.
I can only hope Apple comes out with their own and set the standard of quality Wireless chip.
