I had a surface pro 4 i7. The pen was terrible for me. Accuracy is good but dynamic tracking is crap. Not good for someone with fast / small handwriting. The sp1 and sp2 perform way better.
The crappy wifi also sucked but I could deal with it. The handwriting was deal breaker for me

I wonder if the new folio keyboard will work witb the 2016 version.Ian Cutress - Tuesday, May 23, 2017 - link
No - the new folio is a 3-pin connector, the old one is 7-pin. The design of the folio is different to in how it rests on the thing.ToTTenTranz - Tuesday, May 23, 2017 - link

Talk about a bad day to announce this thing. The new Surface Pro really puts this to shame.okashira - Wednesday, May 24, 2017 - link
It's lighter , thinner , has wacom aes pen, and Intel wifi. Worth considering if any of those are important.kahn12345 - Thursday, September 3, 2020 - link
