They screwed me over on my G2X purchase (not even supplying ICS for the Dual-Core Tegra 2 Phone), and now I see HUGE RED FLAGS with this phone. No JB for it? Come on... If you want to be dis-serviced by LG, get the phone. You'll be thoroughly ignored by them...
My sentiments exactly. The hardware and design of this phone looks so delicious, yet I freak out when I see the Android Development forums for the Optimus 4X on XDA:
It's virtually empty. There still isn't a custom ROM out for it. That means that we can't even rely on the community to provide updates if LG drops the ball on us.
Anyway, the Xiaomi MI-2 is launching with Jelly Bean and is priced very competitive. I might actually be flying to Shenzhen to try to pick it up.
As there are lot of people in France interested by Xiaomi Mi2 device, they actually make a survey in France, using Facebook to know if there is potential benefit for export :). Could probably be the case for other countries.
Will this be able to match the display quality of the One X?
I have to admit, I never payed attention to the air gap between the cover glass and the display itself, but ever since I've had the One X in my hand, I can't un-see it when looking at other handsets.

I like the hardware, but I'm iffy on the software.Maybe LG should make the hardware, and hand it off to HTC or Sony for software development and support...

It's supposed to be even better with lower power consumption.MartinT - Wednesday, August 29, 2012 - link
