You have an unlreased cpu with an unlreased gpu (keep in mind intel gpu drivers); do you provide a live demo and risk shit going haywire or do you show a video of it performing optimally?
But yeah, it's wrong to misrepresent your product's abilities from "how they actually are" as "how you eventually expect them to be."

In the light of what has been proven about Sandy Bridge's capabilities, why is it so hard to believe Intel can, and has, put DX11 on Ivy Bridge's die? In the light of the fact that DX11 is more efficient than DX10, and there are Sandy Bridge ultrabooks already in existence, why is it so hard to believe Intel can put DX11 on a die and put Ivy Bridge in an ultrabook?

Have you guys heard any news on whether or not mobile IVB is going to be backward compatible with mobile SNB systems? I heard that IVB fits in the same 988 socket, but there are rumors that IVB will not be supported despite this.

I have it on good authority from the former employees of the AMD marketing department that it is physically UNpossible for Intel to EVER improve its graphics! This is obviously a rigged demo using real-time raytracing and adaptive quantum prediction algorithms to render an H.264 VIDEO of what the game would look like if it could actually run on an Intel system live under user control. What a cheap fake!

So Intel gets called out on the use of pre-recorded footage of a game, and they rectify it by allowing press to actually experience the game on their product, proving the performance is accurate. Exactly how is Anand bending over backward for Intel?
So Mooly, the guy in a beret, clicked the wrong icon. He was badly scripted. How embarrassing. Now Intel has rounded up multiple independent journalists to verify that the demo works great if you click the correct icon. Lets all pile on because a wrong icon click is a big deal?
Intel won the CPU war. Why? Because of evil marketing. Their fine was 'n mere slap on the wrist. Intel makes that fine in a quarter yet AMD lost a great deal of possible marketshare during the P4 period. It is however a miracle that a minute company like AMD is still around. Maybe it is more likely that Intel cannot let AMD die yet. Maybe ARM will change that.
Still, AMD has managed a great product with Llano. But be warned, if you think that Intel will not eventually beat ATi graphics with all their resources, you are misguided. I still think that somewhere in the future Intel will reap what they have sown and maybe another company like ARM will dig their grave, or maybe I am just an idealist.
I am not surprised that Intel once again used cunning deception. I am surprised though that people will defend it. I must say though that Anand is a bit better than Toms. Toms has probably been on Intel's payroll for quite some time. Anand please do not go the same way. I am sure you are making enough money from your website.

Then he said it was played back by the people backstage. So he was quite open about the demo not being live. He just chose to present it in a humorous way. I think some people just don't have any sense of humour. People now try to pretend as if Intel deliberately tricked the audience into believing the demo was real, and they were 'caught' afterwards. As if nobody would have found out if sites like Anand hadn't mentioned that it wasn't a real demo? Nothing could be further from the truth.
