    Maybe - until Sony guts that feature with an update.

    Sounds interesting but I don't think I will ever buy another Sony product.

    According to the manual it doesn't play mkv's via DLNA

    So basically it's worse then any other media player including a 150 dollar Blu-ray player and 100 dollar WDTV Live plus HD. Good job being useless.

    Still mad about the linux?

    As for origin post, I think you can still stream everything with a standard media server, except certain format like mkv will need to be transcoded.
