  First sentence: the text should say "automotive-grade", not "automotive-gade".

  The 'Automotive Electronics Council' has some serious sheet in their validation criteria, qualification and design standards. Good for GloFo.
  
  Not quite the US DoD or NASA, but good to know some folks are eye-balling these cheese-heads. HA! And, I will note (thanks to those pointy-headed rocket scientists @ NASA):
  
  • All Automotive grade EEE discrete semiconductor parts should meet the qualification requirements in AEC Q101.
  
  • Automotive grade EEE discrete semiconductor parts are a mixture of AEC certified and AEC compliant devices. Not all automotive electronic component suppliers components are AEC Certified --- some are only AEC Compliant.
