"...we should see extremely longevitiy"
"...pointing out at the usage of a MediaTek MT6735P over the MT6737 in the original L1, which while has increased CPU frequencies, actually downgrade the GPU frequency."
Owned 3 Xperias in the past: - ZR (unspecified display -> TFT -> gave to my sis) - ZL (TFT display, overheat -> returned) - Z3C (the worst IPS display with visible digitizer grids, muffled sound and not waterproof as Sony claimed -> Got rid of it for $150 8 months after purchased)
After these 3 phones I realized all the phone reviews I read were lies, written by paid shills who called themselves tech reviewers.

No it isn't. It's you listening to the wrong design "gods". Or at least bother to explain what changed so radically in 1-2 years that spots for holding your phone are now no longer good design but the diametrically opposite? Did your fingers grow small overnight?
bad experiences with Sony: fragile glass on Xperias bad customer support no (or very late) support for latest Android and now they top it off with very mediocre hardware at high prices. Good luck shifting that at a profit..
I like Sony for the following reasons. They will not change a design just because somme "others" changing it. They do many things to increase the battery life span, like soft charging unlike Apple. Their flagships will have some really new stuffs like 4k display or 960 fps slomo recording. They give support to older devices with latest android versions. They are good at rolling out android versions faster than others too. They have tge best looking android skin which is a personal opinion of mine. Thay excel at getting a real long battery life from mid-sized batteries with software optimization. They are crazy enough to bring crazy stuffs in their phones.

"AT is the only site left that has some true journalism."AT is also the only site that has never reviewed a Sony phone. In fact they don't review any phones any more.

The Xperia Z2 was wayyyyy ahead of its time, but Sony's phones stagnated after that. An LCD screen is also untenable for a flagship in 2018
