Specification Detail tab on MSI page has a footnote that says the video specs are "Only support when using a 7th Gen A-series/ Athlon™ processor." AMD "Raven Ridge" APU laptops like the HP Envy x360 are advertising DP 1.4. That is a claimed benefit of Raven Ridge over the Intel i7 models which implement DP 1.2a rates. So I suspect MSI is being careful not to leak Raven Ridge desktop APU specs before they are announced, and specs might be amended once AMD "Raven Ridge" desktop APU specs are announced.
Seems like overthinking to me. Bristol Ridge advertises HDMI 2.0, and no motherboard has it so far. Won't surprise me if HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.2 remain for Raven Ridge.

There's already the GIGABYTE GA-AB350N-Gaming WIFI. In fact, I'm hoping to see a comparison once this hits shelves.
I hope to buy one of the two and pair it with a plain Ryzen 5-1600. (The 1600x is like $10 more, but I'd have to jump from 65W to 95W, and I'm trying to keep the watts down just to see if I can, on my first ITX build.) I might even pair it with an RX 560 ITX-size GPU that doesn't need another power plug. Have no idea what speed memory to put in it, though. Since I don't really plan to overclock, just 2400? Ideas?
Gavin, please do a roundup of all the ITX ones, though apparently you may want to wait til after March, because I saw rumors of 450/470 and Ryzen+ while looking this up.
Not for me - the only thing in my box is a video card and 2 SSDs and a ton of open, useless space. Even mATX is overkill volume-wise, as long as I can fit a full size video card and a 450W PSU with good cooling I want as small as I can get.
mITX with a powerful APU (I currently use the i7-5775C), M.2 SSD and a picoPSU, all in a box of 200x200x50mm (2 liter). Powerful enough to play games like Borderlands 1+2, WoW, etc, draws less than 150W and is dead silent.
how many power phases does it really have? Is it 6 doubled (3 practical) , or really 6? Is it 2 doubled (1 practical), or really 2? What does that last 1 phase power?
Actually ASRock just leaked some updated mini-ITX board for the new X470 chipset. The ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming-ITX/ac with support for Ryzen 2000 series CPU/APU's. Hopefully it will take advantage of the added PCIe 3.0 lanes with a second NVMe port.
So I don't get why this MSI board gets all the attention. There are already better boards from ASRock and Gigabyte available. The ASRock Fatal1ty B350 Gaming-ITX/ac beats this board in features and specs.
Not all the time .. try installing widows and you soon find that it doesn't always see your usb3 ports till after it has been installed (so your usb k+m wont work) so you cant install widows

Good news with RR, is a single water cooling block cools both processors. With good cooling, it could be quite an overclocker.

Built a Rylan e-h60, Ryzen 5 2400g, 16gb 3200, 250 Samsung 960 M.2, hdplex 160, and HP 230W power brick. Very small. I love it.
