    Vardar fans cost too much if you're considering them for watercooling. EK tried to make it look like they were the replacement for Gentle Typhoon fans, they aren't.

    I guess they (fan designers/manufacturers) finally got a high RPM hydro-dynamic bearing fan design working without reliability issues, probably by those ventilation holes to stop the bearing/motor from overheating.

    Wait, my cheap 140mm fans do this as well. 30% PWM or lower will turn them off. They also won't start spinning unless they are set to 55% but that is a different story.

    Do these fans cut the current if the duty cycle is below a threshold? I don't see a difference between this and a value-grade fan that needs to be set to '30%' to begin spinning.
