It's good someone asked about the potential for PC replacement using a phone. Although I have reservations about using a phone OS, it's been possible to muddle along without a PC for quite a few years now if you happen to have a phone. It'd be a big change, but even my old Optimus V can handle most of the PC-like functions I need from one day to the next. There's an app for just about anything and I don't even have Gapps loaded since it's running Cyanogenmod and there's just not enough onboard storage for the Play Store (and all the spyware that's value-added from Google).
